You've envisioned yourself gently hitting the alarm clock, gracefully sliding out of bed with the warm sun hitting the smile on your face. <br><br>After you've slipped on your house shoes, you quietly mingle into the kitchen where you enjoy a cup of hot coffee and cook up a healthy and delicious breakfast spread which is all prepared before the kids get up. <br><br>But, <em>life</em>. It <em>ain't</em> no Folger's commercial. And those visions of smooth mornings maybe never happen like we want them to. <br><br>If your mornings are nothing but chaos, may I suggest you create a list of simple morning foods that don't add <em>more </em>stress to your day?<br><br>Overnight oats are a great place to start. <br><br>We have a breakfast menu we rotate through at our house, and overnight oats are always on the list. The options of variety are + they always seem to be a hit with the kiddos. <br><br>This recipe is creamy, loaded with protein, and gives you healthy carbs to get your morning started off with energy. <br><br>Enjoy!<br><br><strong>Overnight Blueberry-Chia Oats<br>Serves 4-5 </strong><br><br>2 Cups Rolled Oats<br>2 cups frozen blueberries<br>2 cups milk of choice<br>1 and 1/2 cups yogurt<br>1/8 cup maple syrup<br>1/4 cup chia seeds<br><br>1. Place all ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix well. At this point you can either keep the oats in the bowl or place them in individual mason jars for the next morning. <br><br>2. Place oatmeal in the refrigerator while you sleep. <br><br>3. The next morning enjoy your delicious oats that "cooked" away in the refrigerator all night! </span></div>
