This meal certainly fits both standards. <br><br>Just look at that picture; I can almost taste the sauce by looking at it. For those who want an extra 'kick' to your finger-lickin, you can always had crushed red pepper, cayenne, or squirt some sriracha  over the chicken after it's cooked. I have to hold back until it's on my plate so I don't set my toddlers on fire. <br><br>I really love the carrots in this recipe too. I've never really done carrots in a crockpot in a sauce like this one but it's a great change of pace that I plan to implement more often. Vegetables really aren't hard to get into your diet, you just have to remember that you can put them in the crockpot with your meat, throw em' on top of your burgers, chop them into your casseroles, and so forth. <br><br>I hope you enjoy this as much as our family did. Feel free to share your reviews in the comments section below! <br><br><u><strong>Crockpot Honey-Garlic Chicken and Carrots</strong></u><br><br>8 Chicken Thighs (I get organic in bulk at Costco)<br>8 Carrots<br>1/2 cup soy sauce (I use tamari or coconut aminos would work great too as soy-free alternative)<br>2/3 cup honey<br>1 cup ketchup<br>4 cloves garlic minced<br>1 tsp dried basil<br>1 tsp dried oregano<br>1/2 tsp of pepper<br><br>1. Spray the bottom of your crockpot with cooking spray. Add chicken thighs and carrots. <br><br>2. Whisk soy sauce, honey, ketchup, minced garlic, basil, oregano, and pepper together, and then pour over chicken and carrots. Cook on low for 6 hours. <br><br>Serve with basmati or brown rice and steamed broccoli. The sauce is incredible so this is a perfect time to get in lots of veggies and drizzle some of the yummy sauce over them. Enjoy! <br> </div>
